Hi and welcome to the new look SHADOW Rising site. I know that I haven't updated for a while but I was a little busy completeing my IT Diploma and since then I have been catching up on some of my PC gaming VTM: Bloodlines, Half-Life 2 and KotOR 2 (wasn't that one a disappointment) but now I have finally got back to tending this site. I hope you all like the new look of the site - if you don't, EMAIL ME - I like to get feedback on the site.
This is really just a testing ground for the html and scripting skills I am currently learning at TAFE so it will grow and change as I learn new things. As I have to maintain the site I figured that I may as well make it about something that I am interested in so I'm doing it on one of my favourite roleplaying games - D20 Modern. I will be posting some of my own material that I have made for use in my campaign, for people to take a look at.
Use the menu at the top of the page to navigate around the site and hopefully you will like what you find. In the Quotes section you will find all of the previous scrolling quotes from the head section of the page - some are from me and some I have just read somewhere and liked - the idea is that I will update the head section every so often with a new quote. Quotes from others I will give credit to where possible - feel free to email me a quote and I will post it in the head section providing I deem it appropriate for my site.

- 30/06/06 - Ok, I have made a couple of posts on The Ultimate d20 Modern Blog and I have also started my own blog which will detail the events in our CyberScape campaign, check it out here - Tales from the Combat Zone. At the moment I am trying to catch up with events to date and then there should be weekly updates after each game session. Games are held on Thursday nights so expect posts over the weekend sometime. I have also added a link to the blog from the CyberScape page and into the menu above.
- 22/06/06 - I know it's been a while since the last update but I have had a lot on this year. Anyway, I have just been invited to join in a blog on another d20 site so this has got me motivated again. The site is The Ultimate d20 Modern Blog so check it out. Also I have finally finished putting together the assorted additional rules that we are using in our CyberScape campaign and you can now download them from that page -
have fun with them and remember that if you have any questions about them, then just send me an email and I'll be happy to help out. Some of the rules are homemade and some are from other sources, I've just put them all together in the one document so that all the players could have a quick reference for during the game. Oh and on a final note I have added some new books to the Game Material page. Cheers for now. - 26/02/06 - OK, I have finally got around to doing one of the things on my update list. I just never seem to have enough time to do all the things I need to do let alone do all the things I WANT to do. Oh well here's a small update for now. I have added the Marine's Weapons stats to the ALIENS page, hope some of you find them usefull.
- 18/11/05 - Hi all. Yes it's finally time for an update. I know it's been a long time - yet again - but it's just been a really hectic year. I would like to say thank you to those people who have contacted me throughout the year about the site, it's been really great to receive your feedback.
- One of the reason for the lack of updates is that gaming this year has been very eratic due to people working away and having babies and so on.
- We finally completed our original Vampire campaign but as yet I haven't finished writing Rebecca's diary for the last session - that will get done though.
- Despite a very promising start our Vampire campaign set in the modern day has ground to a halt due to player absences and may or may not be picked up again in the future
- On the upside, just after starting up our new CyberScape campaign we have had a couple of new players join the group
Updates/New Stuff
- Updated the content and the layout of the Game material page.
- Updated the Campaigns page.
- Added a campaign page for our latest campaign - CyberScape.
- When I have finished documenting the additional rules we are using in our CyberScape campaign I will make them available through the site.
- I recently received an email asking for stats on the Marine's weapons from our ALIENS campaign. It took a bit of digging through my character files but I found the info and sent it off. So, while I have the info at hand I am going to add it to the ALIENS page.
- 29/04/05 - Wow! Two years on and still going. I know it's been a while since an update but not only do I have several updates for you but as you can see I have changed the look of the site and it's only just missed the second birthday of the site - oh well. As far as updates go ...
- There are 4 new pages in Rebecca's Diary on the Vampire pages - we still haven't quite managed to finish of that game but there is only about one session to go and that campaign will be finished - all we need to do is get everyone together at the same time - you wouldn't think that would be difficult would you.
- We have started a new Vampire campaign (I'm running this one) using a Revised version of the conversion - see the Vampire pages for more info - which is now available for download.
- I don't know yet if I will be posting details on the new Vampire campaign - it depends on how much time I have available.
- 14/11/04 - Our Vampire campaign has been a little erratic lately with player illnesses and the GM having to work away but there are a couple of new pages in the diary for you to check out.
- 27/10/04 - OK It's been a little over two weeks but I've been busy with my Diploma course. The Vampire section, however, has now been added to my site, check it out from the d20 Modern page.
- 04/10/04 - OK I'm back again, sorry for the lack of updates but I have been seriously sidetracked lately playing Knights of the Old Republic (as you can probably guess from the new quote in the header) anyway I've finished the game and will now once more attend to my site. Hopefully this time the Vampire page really will be up in the next couple of weeks.

- 28/08/04 - Well it's that time of the month again and there's a new quote in the header. I am currently still working on the Vampire page but it should be up in the next couple of weeks - hopefully :).
- 23/08/04 - The final journal entry for the Reign of Fire campaign is now up and that's it for that campaign for a while. Keep an eye out however for a new campaign page for our d20 - Vampire The Masquerade campaign. It started a while ago but has only recently become a regular game so I am currently developing a series of pages for it.
- 16/08/04 - The journal entry for the extra game session last Thursday is now up. Tomorrow nights game should be the last one for the Reign of Fire campaign for a while.
- 13/08/04 - Well the game isn't over yet. With only two players available again Tuesday night we were unable to complete the final battle, although we did make a good start. The journal entry for that is now up. We also had an extra game session just last night - Thursday - but were still unable to complete the battle even though we got a good way through it. Hopefully we will finish next Tuesday. I will try and have the journal for the extra session up by next Tuesday - check it out for a shock development in the campaign.
- 04/08/04 - Well it was a short game this week due to a couple of the players being unavoidably delayed (don't ask) but it set us up nicely for the finale next week. While not the end of the game entirely we will be taking a break from the reign of Fire campaign. After that we'll be trying out a super hero style game (no tights though - at least I hope not). I don't know yet if I will put anything up on the site for that one or not - I'll wait and see. If I do I'm probably going to have to redesign the d20 Modern page a little. The next part of my campaign "The Shadow Rising" is still in development - plus I'm kinda busy with my studies - so we won't be picking that one up again for a while yet but we WILL get back to it.
- 29/07/04 - The journal entry from the latest game session of Reign of Fire is up and there is a new quote in the header.
- 21/07/04 - OK finally another update - sorry but I have been busy with the end of semester and then a trip to Perth. Anyway I have caught up with things finally and have updated the Reign of Fire journal so you can now read about the last four game sessions.
- 28/06/04 - New page in the Reign of Fire journal and a new quote in the header.
- 18/06/04 - Had another Reign of Fire game session last night so I have added another page to the journal.
- 14/06/04 - Have updated another of the characters, Saasha's current stats are now up, still more to come though - Dante, Gabe and a complete new file for Novak. OK, I have uploaded the new Reign of Fire page with my character's journal - to check it out just go to the D20 Modern page, click the Reign of Fire link and then you just need to click the enter button on the Reign of Fire page to view the journal.
- 07/06/04 - Have updated another of the characters, more still to come. Grail's current stats are now up and I have a new character picture. Also have commenced work on a small Reign of Fire page that will feature my characters' journal of events but at the moment am still messing around with the layout so keep an eye out for that.
- 31/05/04 - Have finally updated one of the characters but the rest are yet to come. MJ's current stats are now up and I finally have a character picture.
- 25/05/04 - OK, I know it's been a while but I have finally posted the write up for the last game session. That's going to be it for a while for The SHADOW Rising - I need a break from GMing and I've got a lot of other stuff on at the moment but the campaign will pick up again at a later date. In the meantime Macca will be running his Reign of Fire campaign which means I get to just play for a bit. I haven't decided yet but I may keep an online journal of the game from my character's perspective. In the meantime however I still need to update the personnel page as most characters have gone up a level or two so keep an eye out for more updates.
- 03/05/04 - Game report for latest game session is up. Next week will be the big showdown that the campaign has been leading up to.

- 18/04/04 - OK its been a couple of weeks but I have been a little busy lately with the end of term and then Easter and family stuff. Anyway the reports for the last two game sessions are up and have changed the look of the personnel page and updated the stats for Saasha (12th level). The other characters all need updating too but I have to get their character sheets first, plus there is a entirely new character to add - the work never ends and the next games sessions is only two nights away aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaghh.
OK I'm over it now.

- 31/03/04 - Well it finally happened - there's been a few close calls for some of the characters throughout the campaign and in this weeks game one of the characters dies. Unfortunately your going to have to wait and see who as at the moment I don't have time to do a write up for this weeks session - maybe in a couple of days. Also have added a picture to the Shadow Rising Campaign Page and finally put a new quote in the header.
- 28/03/04 - OK, finally got around to writing up the game report for last week - have been a little busy with another project - PLUS! have (also finally) finished the Strike Team page so check that out from the personel files page.
- 22/03/04 - Updated character stats for Saasha (11th Level now) and other character updates soon to come, plus I have added a couple of pics to the Aliens page and one to the Drache Project (campaign links from D20 Modern page).
- 18/03/04 - Latest game session report is up - no more progress on the strike team though at the moment.
- 15/03/04 - Have added pictures and a bit more info to the Strike Team page in the Personnel files - still got some work to do before it is finished though.
- 13/03/04 - Well after a busy week at TAFE I have finally found some time to write up the report for the latest game session and I have started to detail the SIA Strike Team. You can check that out from the Personnel page although it still has quite a bit of work to go before it is done. Also I have added Sara Gregorovich to the Non Personnel Files.

- 18/02/04 - Hello all and welcome back for the new year. The Shadow Rising Campaign is up and running again as of 10/02/04. There have been a few changes so check out the campaign info from the D20 Modern page. I have also added a couple more campaign pages but they are still under construction but check them soon for some details on a couple of temporary games a couple of us tried out over the break.
- 26/11/03 - Okay at the moment it looks like my D20 campaign won't be kicking off again until early next year, by the time I finish my course at TAFE in a couple of weeks it will be almost Christmas and almost time for a our Christmas gaming break due to family commitments of players, holiday trips etc, but the game will difinitely be picking up from where it left off. In the meantime I'm just making a couple of modifications to the Modern page an adding a new Quote to the Header section and Quotes page.
- 31/10/03 - New Quote added to the header section and quotes page. My d20 campaign is still on hold but will continue soon enough.
- 7/10/03 - Due to the arrival of a brand new baby in the household my D20 campaign is on hold so there won't be any updates for a while. If anyone out there has been following the progress of the campaign please email me and I will notify you when the campaign resumes. Also have updated the D20 Modern page with the arrival of my copy of The Menace Manual.

- 30/06/03 - I decided that the Records page on the S.I.A. site was getting a little bit too long so I have archived the reports to separate pages for each case. The latest reports are still on the main Records page but once each adventure/case/chapter is finished I will shift all the records for it to a separate page.
- 29/06/03 - Updated character stats for Kyle and uploaded to personnel files. Will have some new stats for Grail after the next game session. Uploaded latest game summary to records page. Also updated the links to the Modern and Urban Arcana forums from my Links page.
- 25/06/03 - Updated character stats for Dante, Danica and Saasha as they all went up a level at the end of the last game. Kyle also went up a level but I don't have his stats yet so will upload them next week. Also put a new quote in the head section and updated the quotes page.

- 16/06/03 - Added a cool Matrix Text effect to the S.I.A. main page. I wish I could lay claim to the scripting for it but I got it from Dynamicdrive.com. The script writer was Richard Womersley and all I can lay claim to is changing the text colour to suit the S.I.A. site. Also added some links to the links page.

- 24/05/03 - OK the computer is up and running again after a slight upgrade and a format, so back to work on the site. Also finally got my hands on a copy of Ultramodern firearms and Urban Arcana (WooHoo!). Small update to the D20 Modern page and have added a report on the last two game sessions.

- 13/05/03 - Have had some computer problems so work on the site has slowed. Added S.I.A. link to main page, revised password script for briefing room and added a brief report on the latest game session to the events page in the S.I.A. site.
- 5/05/03 - Added "The Game So Far" and "Game Material" sections to the D20 Modern Page. Personnel profiles are currently under construction and hopefully will be uploaded soon. No guarantees though as I'm having computer problems at the moment - that's why it's been a few days between updates.
- 30/04/03 - S.I.A. Longarms, Heavy Weapons, and House Rules pages uploaded. Downloads from the Equipment page now active - they're only Word docs at the moment but I will convert to pdf when I get the chance.
